Catskills Park
The Catskill Park is a 700,000-acre forested wilderness area located within four counties: Sullivan, Delaware, Greene, and Ulster. Created in 1904, the park contains the nearly 300,000-acre Catskill Forest Preserve within its boundaries. This area has been a popular tourist destination since the early 1900s, particularly in the 1950s and 60s when it was home to many large family resorts.
