Basha Kill Wildlife Management Area
Did you know that the Town of Thompson is located near one of the largest wetlands in Southeastern New York State? In the 1970s, the NYSDEC installed a permanent dam to create habitat for wood ducks and black ducks. Today, this tranquil wildlife habitat, bird conservation site, and outdoor recreation area is open to the public.
