Your child can learn to swim this summer…for free! Swim lessons for youth residing in Thompson will be held at East Mongaup River Park (formerly known as Town of Thompson Park) from June 26th through August 3rd. You can choose from lessons held on Mondays & Wednesdays or Tuesdays & Thursdays – and also which of these 3 time slots on those days works best for you. AS OF MAY 18th, 2023 HERE IS WHAT IS STILL AVAILABLE:
- Monday & Wednesday 4:30 – 5:00 – Full
- Monday & Wednesday 5:00 – 5:30 – 9 Spots Left
- Monday & Wednesday 5:30 – 6:00 – 8 Spots Left
- Tuesday & Thursday 4:30 – 5:00 – Full
- Tuesday & Thursday 5:00 – 5:30 – 7 Spots Left
- Tuesday & Thursday 5:30 – 6:00 – 10 Spots Left
To enroll your child, fill out the 2023 Swim Program Registration form, and return to the Town in one of the following ways:

- Mail in this registration form to Jamie Ferriero at Town of Thompson Parks & Recreation Department | 4052 NY 42, Monticello NY 12701.
You must provide proof of residency when registering your child. Proof of residency items include current utility or sanitation bill, tax bill, mortgage statement, printed rent receipt, report card, or letter from school. Swim lessons are open to children ages 5 and up (must have turned 5 by December 1st, 2022).
