The Town of Thompson has received an alert of an important public meeting regarding the Route 17 Interchange 105 that you are invited to! Please read on for the details:

The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) would like to notify you of an upcoming project in your community. Project Identification Number (PIN) 901339 will reconstruct Route 17 interchange 105 to improve mobility for freight traffic within the region. This project will convert the cloverleaf interchange to a diamond interchange with a single on and off ramp for each direction. The Route 42 intersections will be reconstructed as two-lane roundabouts and the project will also improve pedestrian and bicyclist accommodations on Route 42 within the project limits. A project location map is enclosed for your reference.

NYSDOT will host a virtual public information meeting using the WebEx videoconference and call-in application. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 5:00 PM.

The meeting will begin with an approximately 20-minute presentation. Project materials will be posted to the project website, https://dot.ny.gov/901339, for public review prior to the meeting.

Participants who wish to join the online event should visit the project website “Community Outreach” tab and click on the videoconference link. Participants may log in up to 30 minutes prior to the start of the meeting. Online participants can select one of the following options to listen to the presentation: 1) use computer audio; 2) use the “Call Me” option and enter a phone number to receive a call to access the audio; or 3) Use the “Call In” option and dial in directly using the phone number and access code on their computer screen.
