Press Release-Referendum Village Ateres

Yesterday, Fallsburg Supervisor Michael Bensimon and I adjourned the official vote for the Village of Ateres. At 2:48 this morning we were served with an order to show cause for the election to go forward. Late this morning, Judge Schick ordered that the election be held today. The votes will be counted tonight after the polls close at 9PM and will be sequestered until a later date. As ordered by the Judge, the Supervisor’s and Town Clerk’s will not be required to certify the election, at this time.
