The Town of Thompson is a haven to long-time locals, new residents who have recently discovered the year-round treasures hidden here, and second-home communities.

The Town contains many residential neighborhoods, including a variety of lake communities, within the hamlets of Rock Hill, Harris, Kiamesha Lake, Thompsonville, Glen Wild, and Sackett Lake in addition to the housing in the village of Monticello.
