“In response to so many issues with electric disruption due to severe weather events I met ‘one on one’ with NYSEG President and CEO Carl Taylor in my office, in October of last year.
We both agreed that the distribution network in Sullivan and Thompson in particular, needed long deferred maintenance.
Carl laid out a plan to address it and we are pleased that they have now completed 55 miles tree trimming and removal in Thompson and a total of 368 miles of trimming in Sullivan County.
We are so pleased with this investment and look forward to more. Infrastructure is the lifeblood of our economy. The Town of Thompson is proud to be the leading economic driver in Sullivan County and this investment is a vital part of Thompson and Sullivan County’s future success.”
-Town of Thompson Supervisor William J. Rieber Jr.
