Early Voting Hours for the General Election – November 2020

The Early Voting polling site is the Sullivan County Government Center at 100 North Street – Monticello, NY 12701. Appointments are not required for Early Voting at the poll site. Polls are open on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3rd, 2020 from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Your polling location was mailed to you on a postcard. You must vote at the designated polling location on Election Day. All locations are handicapped-accessible.

Absentee Ballot Deadlines and Details

The New York State Board of Elections now has an online Electronic Absentee Application Portal where you can apply to receive an Absentee Ballot: https://absenteeballot.elections.ny.gov/

Nov. 3

Last day to postmark general election ballot. Must be received by the county board no later than Nov. 10th. §8-412(1)

Last day to deliver general election ballot in person to county board, by close of polls on election day. §8-412(1)

Absentee Ballots Can Be Returned in The Following Ways

Deposit the Absentee Ballot in the secure lock box on the table in front of the Sullivan County Board of Elections Office in the lobby of the Government Center at 100 North Street in Monticello, NY during business hours (9:00 am – 5:00 PM Monday through Friday) OR during the Early Voting Period starting October 24, 2020 through November 1, 2020 – no waiting in line and no appointment necessary. Absentee Ballots can be returned up until 9:00 PM on Tuesday, November 3, 2020.

Put a stamp on your Absentee Ballot envelope and mail to Sullivan County Board of Elections, PO Box 5012, Monticello, NY 12701.
