Start planning how you’ll register your child for YMCA Summer Camp, held at East Mongaup River Park! Camp runs daily from 8:30 am until 5 pm, June 30th through August 15th. Camp is open to children ages 5-14 (must have turned 5 by December 1st, 2024). Here are your registration options:
- IN PERSON: Saturday, March 29th, 8am until 5pm at the Town Hall
- NEW! ONLINE: Pay in full or put a minimum of a $100 deposit down (plus Eventbrite fees) to guarantee your spot (details below). This deposit will go towards the camp fees, which are due in full on May 1st. If your child can’t attend, you will get a full refund of your deposit, minus fees.

To guarantee your child’s spot in YMCA Summer Camp, you can register online or make an online deposit of $100 at Eventbrite. In order to register online at Eventbrite, email Jamie at [email protected] for the special link.
Eventbrite’s fees are as follows, and are non-refundable (but your deposit amount is fully refundable before May 1st):
- $100 deposit, $8.39 in fees
- $350 (the full camp cost for Town residents), $24.89 in fees
- $1000 (the full camp cost for non-residents), $67.79 in fees
Note that if you pay using a credit card in person, there is a 2.65% processing fee.
We will accept the first 10 non-residents of the Town immediately. After the 10 non-resident spots are filled, there will be a waitlist.
Save time by filling out and printing the 2025 Form for YMCA Summer Camp in Thompson and bringing it with you on registration day.
To register, you must fill the enrollment form and provide proof of residency (if paying resident rate). Proof of residency items include current utility or sanitation bill, tax bill, mortgage statement, printed rent receipt, report card, or letter from school. Registration must be paid in full by May 1st, if putting a deposit down. Payment may be cash, check, credit card or via Eventbrite. Checks should be made payable to the Town of Thompson.

In order to attend camp, you must bring a copy of your child’s immunization records. Early Drop Off is available at 7:30 am for an additional $130 per child payable to the YMCA directly.
Registration is limited to the first 225 children – first come, first serve!
